У каждого почти

Одну из тех легенд
Хочу поведать я
О незабудке,
Что цветёт весною у ручья.

Однажды, в дальней стороне,
Где много диких трав,
Пастух Ликас с пастушкой Эгле
Пасли свои стада.

Они ещё не знали,
Что встреча их близка.
На флейтах лишь играли
«Та-ти-да-ти-та-та».

Заслышав звук знакомый,
Они пошли к нему
И встретили друг друга
У леса на краю.

И поняли они —
Не быть им врозь теперь.
В любви друг другу поклялись
И в смерти в один день.

Но тут беда случилась,
А может не беда.
Отец Ликаса сыну
Велел забыть стада.

Вернуться в отчий дом
И приступить к делам.
Владеть наследством надо,
Что дядя завещал.

Тут Эгле загрустила,
Поняв, что друг Ликас
Теперь её забудет,
И клятву другой даст.

Она ему не пара,
Отныне он богат.
Пастушке господину
Женой стать не велят!

И слёзы покатились
Из глаз её в траву.
И тут же обратились
Цветами на лугу.

Сорвал один из них Ликас
И Эг ле прошептал:
«Их Незабудкой назову
И не забуду сам!»
