Эта музыка крайне подвижна и изменчива; она начинается как чувствительная ария с притворными вздохами, продолжается как томное лирическое признание и завершается как танец с притопыванием каблучками или как отповедь обиженной красавицы – и все это богатство умещается в одну музыкальную тему. XVIII век был веком лицедейства, актерства, и даже любовь часто превращалась в светскую игру, где персонажи соревновались в остроте произнесенных слов и красоте театральных поз и жестов.
