Именно к третьему типу относится альбом американского коллектива Duskmourn "Legends". Да, это уникальное путешествие по музыкальным ландшафтам. Легенды, написанные музыкой высшего качества. Оживший в мелодичном метале мир радует красками. В нем есть явные отсылки к мирам Толкиена, и будь я "толкиенистом", возможно, нашел бы больше ассоциаций в музыке Duskmourn, чем отсылка к семи отцам гномов в песне "Forged By Fire And Stone".
Однако даже без видимых литературных привязок музыка Duskmourn - особый мир. Каждый трек альбома - отдельная "легенда", древняя и завораживающая. "Ancient Willow" может рассказать о том, что ива упоминается в легендах, как мистическое и таинственное растение (или опять же отошлет к Старому Лесу Толкиена).
"Wayfarer" - это романтика пути. Постоялые дворы с безудержным весельем и бесконечная дорога усталого путника. "Halls Of Darkness" - кузницу, оживающую в этом треке можно воспринимать как часть упомянутой истории гномов, но и без нее - музыка рисует совершенно четкие картины.
"Awakening" предстает миром северных легенд. Суровые и воинственные боги, которые пробудились после тысяч лет. Чудовищная война захлестнет и мир людей. Страницы старинных рукописей, повествующие о войнах богов, стали реальностью людей. "Dusk Over Fields Of Ruin" - логическое продолжение этой темы. Страшная война оставляет за собой долгую память. Герои - живые и павшие - обессмертили свои имена, но некогда цветущий край обращен в руины и пепел их безудержной яростью.
"Through Ice And Snow" повествует о войне, но с иным врагом. Незнающая пощады стихия природы сильнее любого человеческого оружия. Ледяная пустыня и кинжальный ветер способны убивать. Они неумолимы, и горе тому, кто попал в их ловушку. Буря способна скрыть пробивающийся сквозь снежную завесу огонь долгожданного укрытия, лишив путника всякой надежды.
"To The Land Beyond" способна рассказать о путешествии за моря. Корабль, приставший после многодневного похода, к неведомому берегу. Что ждет путешественников? Какие тайны хранит эта земля? Она красива и притягательна, но не скрываются ли за красотой смертельная опасность. Красивые луга и величественные леса могут скрывать темные пещеры и гнилые болота, непредсказуемых и недружелюбных обитателей.
"Woods Of Eternity", леса вечности. На протяжении многих столетий природная красота служила источником вдохновения для всех, кто ищет и мыслит. Первозданное творение, нетронутое рукой человека, обладает уникальной притягательной силой. Древний лес, простоявший сотни, а то и тысячи лет, способен "рассказать" свои тайны тому, кто захочет их услышать. Стоит лишь выйти из мира каменных коробок и машин, освободиться от его формальностей и ощутишь величие и тайны творения...
"Легенды" от Duskmourn - это ключ к иным мирам. Альбом шикарно звучит (даже сложно поверить, что коллектив собирал деньги на запись "с миру по нитке" через сетевой фандрэйзинг). Такая музыка достойна великих грандов экстремальной сцены. Но тем не менее это лишь дебютный альбом мало кому известного коллектива, что лишний раз доказывает: настоящий талант, искреннее творчество способны на многое. Великое путешествие в музыкальную сказку, которое слушается на одном дыхании и вызывает бурю эмоций! Мой вердикт американскому коллективу Duskmourn - не снижать планку творчества на следующих релизах и огромная благодарность за великолепную музыку!

9. Woods Of Eternity Subjectively, I would divide all good albums into three types. The first one is just high-quality albums full of hits. Such works are usually waiting for fans from the masters, already known and reputable performers. The second is the albums, as they say, & quot; in the mood & quot ;. Such a record can be both the work of eminent grandees and the demo of a little-known team. Unprincipled style - just the music fits perfectly into the current situation at the moment and becomes the soundtrack of life. And there is also a third type, which, in my opinion, is higher than the previous two. These are records that are not just & quot; get in the mood & quot; and made with high quality and hit. It is creativity that attracts, music that changes reality. You just turn on the album ... And you fall into another world. Music, opening a new reality, sending a fantastic audio journey.
It is the third type that the album of the American group Duskmourn & quot; Legends & quot; Yes, this is a unique journey through the musical landscape. Legends written by top quality music. The world that came to life in melodic metal pleases with colors. There are clear references to Tolkien’s worlds, and if I were a “tolkienist”, I would probably find more associations in Duskmourn’s music than a reference to the seven dwarf fathers in the song “Forged By Fire And Stone”.
However, even without visible literary bindings, Duskmourn music is a special world. Each album track is a separate & quot; legend & quot ;, ancient and fascinating. & quot; Ancient Willow & quot; can tell that the willow is mentioned in the legends as a mystical and mysterious plant (or, again, will refer to the Old Forest of Tolkien).
& quot; Wayfarer & quot; - this is the romance of the way. Inns with impetuous fun and endless road weary traveler. & quot; Halls Of Darkness & quot; - the forge coming to life in this track can be perceived as part of the aforementioned history of the dwarves, but even without it - the music draws quite clear pictures.
& quot; Awakening & quot; appears the world of northern legends. Severe and warlike gods who have awakened after thousands of years. A monstrous war will overwhelm the world of people. Pages of ancient manuscripts, telling about the wars of gods, have become a reality of people. & quot; Dusk Over Fields Of Ruin & quot; - a logical continuation of this topic. A terrible war reserves a long memory. The heroes, living and fallen, have immortalized their names, but the once flourishing land is turned into ruins and the ashes of their unrestrained fury.
& quot; Through Ice And Snow & quot; tells of the war, but with a different enemy. Unaware of the mercy of the elements of nature is stronger than any human weapon. Ice desert and dagger wind are capable of killing. They are inexorable, and woe to those who fall into their trap. The storm is capable of hiding the fire of long-awaited shelter penetrating through the snow veil, depriving the traveler of any hope.

One has only to get out of the world of stone boxes and cars, get rid of its formalities and feel the greatness and secrets of creation ...
& quot; Legends & quot; from Duskmourn is the key to other worlds. The album sounds gorgeous (it's even hard to believe that the team was collecting money for recording "with the world on a string" through network fundraising). Such music is worthy of great grandees of the extreme scene. Nevertheless, this is only the debut album of a little-known collective, which once again proves: real talent, sincere creativity are capable of much. A great journey into a musical fairy tale, which is heard in one breath and causes a storm of emotions! My verdict to the American team Duskmourn is not to lower the level of creativity on the next releases and many thanks for the great music!
