Обещал от бед сохранить страну.
Речи далёко слышны
Пред Вратами Зимы,
Меж людей и богов
От Нижних до Верхних миров.

С ним из братской чаши, чаши круговой.
И в средину лета обвенчал младых
Князь, и выпил мёда за здоровье их.
Лист осенний ал, на исходе год.
Все, кто меч держал, пали у ворот.
Встретил супостата князь железом битв,
И от крови стал шёлк одежд рудым...

Руки раскинув пред небом, пал
Властитель надежд
В праздничной роскоши одежд
Из красного льна,
