Римской империи закат, уходила эпоха

Так торжествуй же, скептик, живи свой короткий век

“Woman, behold your son,” He said softly,
“Behold your Mother,” He said to John.
Every word was uttered with unbearable pain,
But life clung tenaciously to the fragile bodily temple.
Below, the guard was already exhausted from boredom,
And it was even too much trouble to crack jokes at the crucified.
In a hoarse whisper, Christ said the word: “I thirst,”
And received vinegar on a dirty sponge instead of water.

The sun darkened in an instant, the earth trembled,
The crucified one fell silent, thus, it seems, the soul departed.
So rejoice, skeptic, live your short life,
Everything is as before, just an ordinary man died there.
The pragmatists are right, and our world is simply arranged,
The Big Bang, the chaos of galaxies, the ether and the stars.
But for me, then, it was accomplished. An incredibly large number of people,
Out of envy and malice, killed the living God.
Live as you can, without faith, without miracles.
Your man then perished, but mine was resurrected.
