и скажи: выслушай слово Господне, царь Иудейский, сидящий на престоле Давидовом, ты, и слуги твои, и народ твой, входящие сими воротами.
Так говорит Господь: производите суд и правду и спасайте обижаемого от руки притеснителя, не обижайте и не тесните пришельца, сироты и вдовы, и невинной крови не проливайте на месте сем.
Ибо если вы будете исполнять слово сие, то будут входить воротами дома сего цари, сидящие вместо Давида на престоле его, ездящие на колеснице и на конях, сами и слуги их и народ их.
А если не послушаете слов сих, то Мною клянусь, говорит Господь, что дом сей сделается пустым.
Ибо так говорит Господь дому царя Иудейского: Галаад ты у Меня, вершина Ливана; но Я сделаю тебя пустынею и города необитаемыми
и приготовлю против тебя истребителей, каждого со своими орудиями, и срубят лучшие кедры твои и бросят в огонь.
И многие народы будут проходить через город сей и говорить друг другу: за что Господь так поступил с этим великим городом?
И скажут в ответ: за то, что они оставили завет Господа Бога своего и поклонялись иным богам и служили им.
Не плачьте об умершем и не жалейте о нем; но горько плачьте об отходящем в плен, ибо он уже не возвратится и не увидит родной страны своей.
Ибо так говорит Господь о Саллуме, сыне Иосии, царе Иудейском, который царствовал после отца своего, Иосии, и который вышел из сего места: он уже не возвратится сюда,
но умрет в том месте, куда отвели его пленным, и более не увидит земли сей.
Горе тому, кто строит дом свой неправдою и горницы свои беззаконием, кто заставляет ближнего своего работать даром и не отдает ему платы его,
кто говорит: построю себе дом обширный и горницы просторные, и прорубает себе окна, и обшивает кедром, и красит красною краскою.
Думаешь ли ты быть царем, потому что заключил себя в кедр? отец твой ел и пил, но производил суд и правду, и потому ему было хорошо.
Он разбирал дело бедного и нищего, и потому ему хорошо было. Не это ли значит знать Меня? говорит Господь.
Но твои глаза и твое сердце обращены только к твоей корысти и к пролитию невинной крови, к тому, чтобы делать притеснение и насилие.
Посему так говорит Господь о Иоакиме, сыне Иосии, царе Иудейском: не будут оплакивать его: увы, брат мой! и: увы, сестра! Не будут оплакивать его: увы, государь! и: увы, его величие!
Ослиным погребением будет он погребен; вытащат его и бросят далеко за ворота Иерусалима.
Взойди на Ливан и кричи, и на Васане возвысь голос твой и кричи с Аварима, ибо сокрушены все друзья твои.
Я говорил тебе во время благоденствия твоего; но ты сказал: не послушаю. Таково было поведение твое с самой юности твоей, что ты не слушал гласа Моего.
Всех пастырей твоих унесет ветер, и друзья твои пойдут в плен; и тогда ты будешь постыжен и посрамлен за все злодеяния твои.
Живущий на Ливане, гнездящийся на кедрах! как жалок будешь ты, когда постигнут тебя муки, как боли женщины в родах!
Живу Я, сказал Господь: если бы Иехония, сын Иоакима, царь Иудейский, был перстнем на правой руке Моей, то и отсюда Я сорву тебя
и отдам тебя в руки ищущих души твоей и в руки тех, которых ты боишься, в руки Навуходоносора, царя Вавилонского, и в руки Халдеев,
и выброшу тебя и твою мать, которая родила тебя, в чужую страну, где вы не родились, и там умрете;
а в землю, куда душа их будет желать возвратиться, туда не возвратятся.
Неужели этот человек, Иехония, есть создание презренное, отверженное? или он сосуд непотребный? за что они выброшены он и племя его, и брошены в страну, которой не знали?
О, земля, земля, земля! слушай слово Господне.
Так говорит Господь: запишите человека сего лишенным детей, человеком злополучным во дни свои, потому что никто уже из племени его не будет сидеть на престоле Давидовом и владычествовать в Иудее.
Thus saith the Lord: Go down to the house of the king of the Jews, and utter this word
and say, Hear the word of the Lord, the king of the Jews, who sits on the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in with these gates.
Thus saith the Lord: Make judgment and truth, and save the offender from the hand of the oppressor; do not offend or crush the newcomer, the orphans and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
For if you fulfill this word, then the kings that sit in his throne instead of David, ride in chariots and on horses, themselves and their servants and their people will enter by the gates of this house.
And if you do not listen to these words, then I swear by me, says the Lord, that this house will become empty.
For thus saith the Lord to the house of the king of the Jews: You are with me to Gilead, the summit of Lebanon; but I will make you desolate and cities uninhabited
and I will make fighters against you, each with his own guns, and they shall cut down your best cedars and throw them into the fire.
And many nations will pass through this city and speak to one another: why did the Lord do this great city like this?
And they will answer, because they have left the covenant of the Lord their God and worshiped and served other gods.
Do not cry for the dead and do not regret it; but weep bitterly about going into captivity, for he will never return and see his native country.
For thus saith the Lord concerning Sallum, the son of Josiah, the king of the Jews, who reigned after his father Josiah, and who came out of this place: he would not return here,
but he will die in the place where he was taken captive, and he will no longer see this land.
Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness and his upper rooms with iniquity, who causes his neighbor to work in vain and does not give him his wages;
he who says: I will build a vast house for myself, and the upper rooms are spacious, and will cut through windows, and sheathe cedar, and paint with red paint.
Do you think to be a king because you have enclosed yourself in cedar? your father ate and drank, but he did justice and truth, and therefore he felt good.
He dealt with the work of the poor and needy, and therefore he was well. Does this mean to know me? says the Lord.
But your eyes and your heart are directed only to your self-interest and to the shedding of innocent blood, to doing oppression and violence.
Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning Joachim, the son of Josiah, the king of the Jews: they shall not mourn for him: alas, my brother! and: alas, sister! They will not mourn him: alas, sovereign! and: alas, his greatness!
A donkey burial will be buried; pull him out and throw him far beyond the gates of Jerusalem.
Go up to Lebanon and shout, and in Bashan, lift up your voice and shout from Avarim, for all your friends are crushed.
I told you during your well-being; but you said, I will not listen. Such was your behavior from your very youth, that you did not listen to My voice.
All your shepherds will be carried away by the wind, and your friends will go into captivity; and then you will be ashamed and shamed for all your misdeeds.
Living in Lebanon, nesting on cedars! How miserable you will be when the pains come upon you, as the pains of a woman in labor!
I live, the Lord said: If Jehoiachin the son of Joachim, the king of Judea, were a ring on My right hand, then from here I would tear you
And I will give you into the hands of those who seek your soul, and into the hands of those you fear, into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, and into the hands of the Chaldeans,
and I will throw you and your mother, who bore you, into a foreign country where you were not born, and there you will die;
and into the land, where their soul will desire to return, they will not return there.
Is this man, Jehoiachin, a despicable, outcast creature? or is it a vessel indecent? why are they thrown away, he and his tribe, and thrown into a country they did not know?
Oh, earth, earth, earth! listen to the word of the Lord.
Thus says the Lord: Write down this man who is deprived of children, an ill-fated man in his days, because no one else from his tribe will sit on the throne of David and rule in Judea.
