- Boy From Black Mountain
Boy from Black Mountain rode down from the hills on a black-and-white horse he called Buffalo Bill and he reached out his arms as they galloped up over the moon. The people cheered on as he raced through the trees and he tried to forget it was only a dream as they stood and applauded him, threw him his own big parade. Boy from Black Mountain flew down from a cliff in a hot-air balloon built by Jonathan Swift and he hoisted his flag as he landed down onto the dune. He soared over trees with the greatest of ease like that daring young man on the flying trapeze, he had no fear of heights and no enemies inside the dream. He'll soon ride his rocket ship off to the moon and he won't be returning here anytime soon and he'll wave us goodbye as he launches out into the blue. But today take his hand let him play in the sand and name all of the beautiful things in the land and hold on to his dreams before anyone steals them away
- Judgment Day
In the sun, with withered skin
Walked a man, of humble kin
He'll soon be free from his worldly trials
His body at rest down in the old churchyard
All his life he would toil for day and night
Hear the voice of your master callin you
Momma said
- The Ghost of Emma Jean
In a little town lived a little girl name was Emma Jean
Emma had two friends one was Mary the other Abilene
Emma earned her keep scrubbing floors all week don't forget your room
If she missed a spot mother swung at her with the wooden broom
I am the ghost of emma jean in your dreams
I am the ghost of Emma Jean in your dreams
I am the ghost of Emma Jean in your dreams
- The Life You Save May Be Your Own
Daddy had a red pickup
Loaded up the watermelons and
Drove out to old Iron Mountain
Three hundred sixty-five miles to Hall Mill Road
Every Sunday momma said a prayer
For the old man in the rocking chair
Called out to me and my brother
