Under a red sky"I'm looking at the city lights, through a small window. Six vertical iron bars are smashing the night in front of me. My friend is not here tonight. He didn't pass by to say "goodnight" or to warble. Missing words, pages that turn around, my hands are shaking. I was always wondering about the world, the society, the people, about life and death, about ideals and everything that gets through the human mind. But this time, I was thinking about myself and that, what I'm experiencing is nothing compared to eternity. I got to point zero, I 've seen the emptiness, a power stronger than gravity, that holds me down. These thoughts lasted a while, maybe a lot, but then, I stood up and started staring at all these powers that dominate this world. I was staring until they noticed me and then, I started walking alone the road of dispute, against everything.
I was walking until I saw someone who took the same path, with the same expression in his face and the same look in his eyes. We looked each other and continued to our destiny, without talking. But in this path we found another and then another, until we gathered, all these white skinned guerillas, these shadows in black clothes, under the red sky, who was waiting for the fire, the one man victory.
Chased by friends and foes, wounded but never defeated, I am here! My flesh might hurt, might bleed, might be tortured, but my soul is still screaming: I am innocent! Not because I didn't dare, nor because I didn't do it, but because I acted exactly as my conscience ordered to. There is a while since that first glance. Now it is difficult to remember. It happened in a few minutes. Almost instantly. It was a rushed decision and, until now, I believe it was right. I don't mind to pay for this decision through my whole life. I don't mind to be a slave of my choices, of my insticts. I am free.
It is hard, indeed, to think about what will be the face of this Nation in the future and, most of all, how it will get to its future condition. Because, based on its current image, it must be considered already dead."
