In honor of tonight’s “supermoon” lunar eclipse, here is a full, 2-minute version of the waltz from Star vs. the Forces of Evil - Blood Moon Ball.

I wanted a lot of the new material to be smaller and more intimate than the stuff that aired in the episode; like, the start of the dance is about the pageantry, but the middle section is more just about two people. Then a big dramatic flourish as we return to the main theme, and a variation on the opening (more strings) and coda (solo piano) to finish. ABA structure, tried and true.

So glad that the fans connected with this cue when the episode first aired, and that you guys reached out on Tumblr to show the love. Hopefully the moon tonight will live up to the hype!
