- Amongst the Shadows of Remembrance
Amongst the forest of shadows I dwell, no longer am I apart of the physical realm. Slowly I walk towards an unknown destination. Into eternity. I am never more. I hear the cries of grief, remembrance of sorrow and pain. Everything we had is now nothing, and nothing more have we to gain. As I lie there beneath the frozen stream, in comforting silence my world slowly passes away. For death is the loneliest bride, so cold and so empty, and it's mine. Never again will I see their faces, nor will I ever find my way back home. Frozen in my coffin of ice, so dark and alone. Has the Lord forsaken me or is this all there is. Is there no forgiveness for the life I tried to live. Is it your will that I remain forgotten, has your love for me gone. The cold winter shall last, forever so long. Then as I feel no hope remains, my savior embraces me, my journey comes to an end. In eternal peace I bow before the throne, "Well done good and faithful servant, I welcome you home."
- And Thus It Was and Forever Will Be
While they hide amongst the dead
Splintered trees they consider
Approaching the storm in ruins,
A city left by tragedy, and pain
Was taken by means of force
The damage is measured by immortal sin
The time has risen, only a few have lived
In order for survival,
- Blood That Covers All Sin
Darkness of my emotion, shallow is my grave. Separation from God, cast my sorrow and pain. My efforts futile, I desperately fail to save myself, again and again. Nothing have I found in this world, that can change who I am. Nothing left but forever and again. I hear of a story, that was written a long time ago. A story of love and sacrifice. Written by the prophets of old, God would send his only son to die for our sins. Eternal savior of us all.
Blood drips down his face... Knowing what must be done. Nothing shall ever replace... The sacrifice of the son. Can this be truth, are you my Lord? Can you forgive me, and save this wretched soul? Lift this hopelessness from me, change me Lord for I am yours. I shall forever live by your grace, for you have freed me from the sorrow of this decaying landscape. And in you I trust, never will I stray. Keep me from darkness nevermore, for this I pray.
- Det Kvarglomd
Still believing, for safe keeping
I am leaving everything behind
She's deceiving, he is weeping
Everyone feeding this white lie
Sanctioned by design,
As critical as the next
You seem so passionate in every breath
Articulate to the question,
- Famine of a Thousand Frozen Years
Enthralled by the passion of
Another wondrous kill
As clouds hide the shadows of a vindictive beast
I glance one last look
Before death's kiss
Through her finger tips
With such confident footsteps
She turns to walk away
- First Frost of a Winters Day
Slowly fading into obscurity, as the bleak midwinter brings change. Ice has covered the land, and only the cold darkness remains. Must I travel any further, for the path that lays before me appears desolate and grim. Is there nothing left to guide me, no strength remains within. I'm sorry that I strayed.
Forgive me for concerning myself, with things I cannot change.
Satan has set his eyes upon me, silently he waits for the time in which my faith is weak. Reveal yourself to me Lord, for in this time of darkness, I need your strength. King of the north send your spirit to guide me, show me that there is still hope.
The snow that once covered my path has slowly receded, and the trees show signs of spring. As the first frost of a winter's day clears, light breaks through the darkness, for hope shall reappear. In the fog of my life, forgiveness is all I seek. Through the loving grace of God, there shall be nothing more I need.
- In Account of My Dead
Spent every day living out a wasted dream
The chemistry was fantasy I hide my shadow,
I've burnt the image
In a fireplace built beneath my heart
The open scars prove your vacant remarks
Indulge over time well spent alone
Forget our Chaos, was passion in rage
Our rage is love piercing a beautiful pain
- Lest We Forget
Blood is drawn from all directions. No flesh will survive. Nothing but scattered remains. Everything dies. Darkness covers the land. Army rises against army, the final conflict at hand. Messengers from the east bring rumors of war. Foretold by prophets of doom, the time will come, the peace we found shall not hold. Legions of evil roam through the land, with little resistance. For our lines have been breached, our leaders have failed. As the enemy sleeps with our daughters and drinks of our wine, we sleep, and our fathers stand aside. While our towns are pillaged and our morals defiled, we find comfort in the very system that has enslaved us. This was no war at all. For we invited the enemy at the gates just to watch them fall. Lest we forget victory is Satan's if we do not take up arms. Let no man's sword be without blood. Defenders of the faith do not be weary, all is not lost, for this is the good fight and victory shall be ours.
